Our final show featured Cadillac, and while we expected a nice mix of Caddys, the sweet spot was late-1950s-1960s models—especially convertibles. Surprising because ‘verts rusted much quicker since they leaked (even when new) and once the tops rotted they became exposed to the elements. They made fewer convertibles than hardtops and sedans, too. And these have the most trim so they can be difficult…
In April 2018, OPGI attended the 31st Annual Seal Beach Classic Car Show. Each year over 500 classic car owners come to show off their rides to the nearly 25,000 visitors that attend the show. Original Parts Group Inc. had a nice set-up right on the corner of Main and Electric Avenue, showcasing four of their cleanest black rides. A worn or damaged tail lamp lens can really ruin the appearance of an otherwise excellently restored classic car like the big 1963 Cadillacs.
