Becoming its own model in 1978, the Chevrolet Malibu began as a trim level of the Chevrolet Chevelle. In addition to the nameplate change, the 1978 Malibu model was over a foot shorter, which cut down the vehicle's weight by several hundred pounds. The 1966 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham is the Cadillac of Cadillacs. The Brougham package gave its owners many luxurious options including a vinyl top, adjustable reading lamps, and rear footrests, not to mention its most talked about feature, rear picnic tables! On Saturday, July 30th 200+ Gm Classic vehicles and their dedicated owners filled the Original Parts Group parking lot to gather in celebration of OPGI's 40th year anniversary. It was love at first sight for OPGI Customer Roger Acquistapace when he first laid eyes on his '71 Monte Carlo. Original Parts Group was pleased to attend The Grand National Roadster Show last weekend. It was the annual show's 72nd year hosting the longest-running indoor car show in the world. In fact, over 500 show vehicles were on display inside the Fairplex building, including OPGI's 1966 Pontiac GTO, "The Tribute". Did you know that Original Parts Group was awarded “Best GM Restored Vehicle” for our 1967 Buick GS 400 at the SEMA Show in 2009? in fact, that was the 3rd year in a row that OPGI was presented with the prestigious award. On October 9th Original Parts Group will make their first car show appearance in over a year at the 33rd Annual Seal Beach Classic Car show, just blocks from OPGI's headquarters in Seal Beach, California. Year after year with the exception of 2020, the Seal Beach Chamber of Commerce has produced extremely successful car shows with amazing turnouts of over 500 classic cars, hot rods, and antiques for locals and car enthusiasts to admire.
